Great win for Seniors
A beautiful sunny day away in Granagh. Ferry travelled with a good squad hoping to get something from the game to help them to safety.
But a dreadful start, Granagh forced a corner and scored with a free header at the near post.
Some harsh words from the line, that had to wake the lion.
Ferry started to play great football creating chances, Ger O'Sullivan hit the crossbar with a mighty left leg shot.
Ferry's midfield worked very hard, not allowing Granagh to get into stride.
Ferry won a free kick, only for Yank to hit the cross bar again. Just before the break Ferry got the goal they deserved, good work by the Ferry wingers got the ball into the box and there Conor Flavin struck to the net.
Ferry kept on the pressure in the second half, running at the Granagh defence. Conor Flavin picked up an injury, Shea McDonnell the brilliant youth midfield player and Yank went up front. It wasn't long before Yank got a great ball turned and fired a shot the corner of the net.
Granagh forced Ferry to defend but our back four where outstanding on the day. The Ferry keeper had to pull off a great save from a header.
But a great performance by all on the day for a great win.
